A birth doula is a supporting coach or companion for the labour and delivery of your baby. Doulas do not replace your primary healthcare provider (midwife or doctor), or your partner. Doulas work with families as a valuable piece of your chosen birth team. As a doula I strive to get to know families deeply, learning their values and processes, and then work together to plan for and support a positive birth. Prenatal preparation is a huge component of a birth doula’s work, to prepare mothers body and mind for their ideal and positive birth, and prepare their partner to be the best support along side as well. Doulas provide individual and continuous support in several ways including physical and emotional support as well as assisting in creating an environment for informed choice. Specifically, physical support can look like assisting natural comfort measures or teaching partners to participate in easing labour stress. Emotional support comes in many forms of encouragement, planning for and creating a peaceful and safe space, watching for ques of a mother’s needs at that moment. Doulas can begin working with mothers and families any point in their pregnancy, and will work together through postpartum to ground the journey from pregnancy to parenthood in supported care.
Essential Birth Doula Package
$1200 +GST
(2 instalments of $630)
Two prenatal visits (~2 hours each) where we talk through pregnancy, childbirth, comfort, birth plan, hopes, fears, FAQ, what to expect, beneficial preparation for labour, teaching you and your partner tools for before labour and for birth-day, postpartum/new baby care, and more!
Available to chat and answer questions through phone/text/email at any time during your pregnancy, early labour, and postpartum period.
On call from 37 weeks for when labour begins. Continuous in person support from active labour through approximately 2 hours post delivery.
One postpartum visit (~2 hours) to discuss your birth, recovery, feeding, your dearest newborn baby and any other questions you may have!
I am also available for photography - without compromising my care for you as your doula I will capture and edit a small number of photos with your consent. If birth photography is a priority for you, a full edited gallery can be added on for an additional investment - please inquire.
Enhanced Birth Doula Package
$1500 +GST
(3 instalments of $525)
Everything from the essentail birth doula package above.
An additional two visits (~2 hours each) which can be both prenatal or split as one extra prenatal visit and one extra postpartum visit. As additional prenatal visits this time will be used to get to know you, educate, and prepare you even better. I do believe the more time we spend in physical, mental, and emotional preparation for the birth journey, the more positive your experience will be! If time prenatally doesn’t allow for four visits, I can do three prenatal, and two postpartum (total). The extra postpartum visit will be whatever you need - support in the transition to new motherhood and new baby care, help with feeding, help with simple daily tasks, or caring for your baby during this time to provide you time to catch up on self care or whatever you need.
One of our prenatal meetings can be scheduled with both myself and my trusted backup doula so you can meet her and have a session with two great doula heads in the room!

Massaged Mama Package
$1450 +GST
(2 intalments of $630,
massages paid at their appt $130 each)
Everything from the essential birth doula package.
Plus two 75 minute mobile massages which can be scheduled anytime from the date of hire up to 3 months postpartum. Massage can help with optimizing pelvic alignment to prepare for birth, back pain pain relief, reducing swelling, utmost relaxation, relief from postpartum soreness from labour, stretching and rebalancing sore or tense tissues from the new demands of caring for a newborn and breastfeeding, and more. I come to your home for these treatments, and babies near by or right on mama are wonderfully welcome! Purchasing this package ensures I will also prioritize your massage bookings in my schedule in comparison to my regular mobile massage work.
I am available to work with families in the Shuswap/Okanagan region of BC, specifically Salmon Arm, Vernon, and surrounding areas. Midwife or doctor attended, planned home and hospital births are all welcome! There are payment plans available upon request, and special rates for repeat clients. As of fall 2024 I am also approved for the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program which provides Indigenous families living in BC up to $1200 for doula support per pregnancy.
